Gorakh Hill Station

Gorakh Hill  is a hill station of Sidh,Pakistan. It is situated at an elevation of 5,689 ft (1,734 m) in the Kirthar Mountains, 94 kilometres (58 mi) northwest of Dadu city.

The Gorakh hill station is situated 423 km (263 mi) from Karachi and nearly 8 hours' driving distance. The Hill station attracts thousands of tourists from the city.

The name Gorakh is derived from the Sindhi Language in which, word "Gorakhnath" refers to a popular Hindu preacher associated with the deity Shiva and that Balochi-languages word "Gurkh" is later dialectic adaptation of Sindhi-language word Gorakh.but there is no connection of Persian Gurg and Balochi Gurkh means wolf with word of Sindh language. It is believed that the name is derived from original Word Gorakh either of Sanskrit or Sindhi language which means very difficult and intricate.

Different opinions have been given about the history and origin of the hill station. It is said that the medieval Hindu saint, Gorakhnath, had extensively wandered in hills and the region. According to Nandu, an authority on Sanskrit, Gorakh is a Sanskrit word which means "shepherding of sheep, cow and goat, etc."

Gorakh Hill Station is situated on one of the highest plateaus of Sindh, spread over 2,500 acres (10 km2) of land. The area is part of the Kirthar Mountain Range that makes the border between Sindh and Baluchistan provinces in Pakistan.

Gorakh Hill Station is known for its nightlife, specially Bonfire setup

Gorakh's elevation gives it a special climate, with sub-zero temperatures during winter and generally below 20 °C (68 °F) in summer, with about 120 mm of average annual rainfall. The Government of Sindh is in the process of constructing a new road from Dadu to Gorakh Hill. There is a new rest house for visitors on the hill. Tourists can arrange their own transport from Sehwan Sharif to the hill station.

Mecca Mukarma Saudi Arabia

Thanks of my Almighty Allah I am Perform Umrah .This is my amazing journey of my life.We start journey Dubai to Saudi Arabia by Road.We book tickets from Dubai and Start Travel from Deira Dubai with 3 Friends. Ameer Jamali , Ghulam Umer Jatoi and Shahid Magsi. we learn lot of new things about Islam during Umra.

Ghulam Umer Jatoi Sindhi Poet of Pakistan and Me

Mecca, also spelled Makkah, is a city in the Hejazi region of Saudi Arabia. The city is located 70 km (43 mi) inland from Jeddah, in a narrow valley 277 m (909 ft) above sea level and 340 kilometres (210 mi) south of Medina. Its population in 2012 was 2 million, although visitors more than triple this number every year during the Ḥajj ("Pilgrimage"), held in the twelfth Muslim lunar month of Dhūl-Ḥijjah.

It is the birthplace of Muhammad. A cave 3 km (2 mi) from Mecca was the site of Muhammad's first revelation of the Quran, and a pilgrimage to it, known as the Hajj, is obligatory for all able Muslims. Mecca is home to the Kaaba, one of Islam's holiest sites and the direction of Muslim prayer, and thus Mecca is regarded as the holiest city in Islam.

Mecca was long ruled by Muhammad's descendants, the sharifs, acting either as independent rulers or as vassals to larger polities. It was conquered by Ibn Saud in 1925; since then Mecca has seen a tremendous expansion in size and infrastructure, such as the Abraj Al Bait, also known as the Makkah Royal Clock Tower Hotel, the world's fourth tallest building and the building with the third largest amount of floor area, and lost some historical structures and archaeological sites, such as the Ajyad Fortress. Non-Muslims are prohibited from entering the city.

The early history of Mecca is still largely disputed, as there are no unambiguous references to it in ancient literature prior to the rise of Islam. The Roman Empire took control of part of the Hejaz in 106 CE,[34] ruling cities such as Hegra (now known as Mada'in Saleh), located to the north of Mecca. Even though detailed descriptions were established of Western Arabia by Rome, such as by Procopius, there are no references of a pilgrimage and trading outpost such as Mecca.[35] Mecca is mentioned in the following early Quranic manuscripts:
Codex Is. 1615 I, folio 47v, radiocarbon dated to 591-643 CE.
Codex Ṣanʿāʾ DAM 01–29.1, folio 29a, radiocarbon dated between 633-665 CE.
Codex Arabe 331, folio 40 v, radiocarbon dated between 652-765 CE.

The first direct mention of Mecca in external literature occurs in 741 CE, in the Byzantine-Arab Chronicle, though here the author places it in Mesopotamia rather than the Hejaz.[35]

Given the inhospitable environment, and lack of historical references in Roman, Persian and Indian sources, historians including Patricia Crone and Tom Holland have cast doubt on the claim that Mecca was a major historical trading outpost. However, other scholars such as Glen W. Bowersock disagree and assert that Mecca was a major trading outpost.

Jebel Jais

Jebel Jais (Arabic: جَبَل جَيْس‎, romanized: Jabal Jays) is a mountain of the North-Western Hajar range in the Musandam Governorate of Oman and also in Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates. The summit has an elevation of 1,934 m (6,345 ft). The summit is located on the Omani side, but a high point west of this peak is considered the highest point in the United Arab Emirates, at 1,892 m (6,207 ft) above sea level, and with around 10m of prominence. Since the summit is on the Omani side, Jebel Al Mebrah (also known as "Jabal Yibir"), at 1,527 m (0.949 mi), is the highest peak in the UAE, with significant prominence.

Infrastructure

On the Omani side, the mountain is largely undeveloped, inaccessible, and far from any development, however on the United Arab Emirates side there has been a lot of development in recent years. A 20 km (12 mi) road has been built, which hairpins most of the way up the mountain on the United Arab Emirates side. Near the top of the road, there are parking places, food providers, toilets and a viewing platform. After a security checkpoint, the road continues up a few kilometers further to the world's longest zip-line and an Etisalat cell tower, as well as a large flat area used for outdoor shows and parking. New buildings are also being built along this road section, for use of the zip-line operating company. This section was completed towards the end of 2017; however it remains closed to the public, by motorized vehicles, as of December 2019.[citation needed] A private brick road then continues further up, to Sheikh Saud Bin Saqr Al Qasimi's palace, which is situated near the UAE's highest point. The summit is then accessible by hiking, a short distance after the palace perimeter fence.

The road is due to be completed by September 2019
Jebel Jais ZipLine

The world's longest zip line opened on the mountain in February 2018. It is 2,832 m (9,291 ft) long, and users travel at speeds of up to 150 km/h (93 mph), There are, or have been, plans in place to build a hotel, cable car, paragliding launch ramp, golf course and ski slope following the opening of the road.

Climate

The temperature of Ras Al Khaimah tends to be lower than other parts of the country. Temperatures as low as -5 degrees Celsius have been measured at the top of the mountain in winter. The temperatures at the highest elevations on the mountain tend lower than other parts of United Arab Emirates, by about ten degrees, except for spots such as the mountains of Hafeet, Yibir, Yanas and Al-Heben.
